The Workforce Investment Board of Solano County is gearing up for our twice-yearly Career Fair that brings together over 80 employers and 2,000+ job seekers. This FREE event is open to the public. Employers wishing to be a part of future Career Fairs should contact me for more information. Employers can participate FOR FREE, with the only requirement being that the employer is currently hiring for at least one position. We have one more slot available in this Career Fair, but the employer must ACT FAST as our marketing is getting ready to go to press. Again, contact me for more information.

OJT (On-the-Job Training) Program

The Workforce Investment Board of Solano County is heavily promoting our OJT program as a strong benefit for employers. This temporary cost-offsetting tool helps an employer get a marginally qualified (but otherwise perfect) job seekers employed by providing a temporary gross salary reimbursement of up to 50% (more in certain cases) while that new employee is getting their skills up to company standards. The training period is between 2 and 6 months, enough time for an employer to ensure the new employee has all the skill levels the employer demands for the position
