SOLANO HISPANIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO SERVE THE 2018-2019 TERM

(FAIRFIELD, CA – August 29, 2018) The Solano County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a dynamic business organization that provides opportunities for personal growth, business success and community leadership, has announced the new board of directors for 2018-2019 term. The Chamber’s board promotes the organization’s mission, provides financial oversight, ethical and legal governance and ensures a sustainable future for the Chamber.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve as the new president of the Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,” commented Mrs. Flores Zepeda. “We are motivated and ready to serve our members, giving priority to their immediate needs. We will add more forums to connect with our Spanish speaking business owners throughout the communities we serve. Our goal is to host more events that are bilingual (English/Spanish), so we can engage our Hispanic Business Owners more effectively in the language they feel more comfortable”.

The new 2018-2019 Board of Directors include:

President: Citlalli Flores Zepeda, Owner of Alfa Entrepreneurs – Bilingual Branding Agency. Resident of the city of Fairfield, CA. Born in El Grullo, Jalisco, Mexico. Bilingual in Spanish.

1st Vice President for Vallejo: Ricky Gjertsen, Library Associate for Solano County. Resident of the City of Fairfield, CA. Born in Hayward, CA.

2nd Vice President for Fairfield: Leo Callejas, owner of Digital Track – Digital Marketing Agency. Resident of the city of Fairfield, CA. Born in Nicaragua. Bilingual in Spanish

3rd Vice President for Vacaville: Paul Smith, Loan officer at Fairway Independent Mortgage. Resident of the City of Vacaville, CA.  Born in Willows, CA.

Secretary: Sandra Gonzalez, Recycling Coordinator at Republic Services. Resident of the City of Fairfield. Born in Colombia. Bilingual in Spanish.

Treasurer: Wendy Howell, Co-owner at Eyonic Systems. Resident of the City of Vacaville. Born in Napa, CA

Parliamentarian: Daniel Serna, Realtor at Coldwell Banker Solano Pacific. Resident of the City of Benicia. Born in Los Angeles, CA. Bilingual in Spanish.

Chief Ambassador: Jose Govea, Owner of Govea Roofing. Resident of the City of Vacaville. Born in La Croix, Jalisco, Mexico. Bilingual in Spanish.

Education Committee Chair:  Brigit Perez, Director of Alumni Relations at Touro University California. Resident of the City of Vallejo, CA. Born in Vallejo, CA. Bilingual in Spanish.

Board Member: Rebecca LaCount, Puente Coordinator at Solano Community College. Resident of the City of Danville. Born in San Leandro, CA.

Immediate Past President: Doriss Panduro, Community outreach liaison, Fairfield Suisun Unified School District. Resident of the City of Fairfield. Born in Fairfield. Bilingual in Spanish.
